    Hi everyone,
hoping to get a jumping off point before i have to drain my wallet to Toshiba or geek squad. I have a 17in laptop Toshiba. replaced the hard drive after a virus attack, and upgraded to win 7. now the computer won't boot at all. the first time this happened, I put the computer in hibernate. I usually shut it down, nightly. then in the morning, it would not boot up, only the cooling fan, but no hard drive. removed battery ,power cord etc. waited put it back, booted up. then shut it down rather than hibernate. now -nothing but fan, no boot up at all. another little quirk is no wifi light either when pug it in, wifi flashes but then goes off, so my question , is it a hard drive issue or motherboard issue? It has started a few times, but now off. not on warranty . Toshiba was $$ for phone support . any suggestions where to go next. I don't care for geek squad but feel stuck. anyone else have this condition? has anybody out here found a fix for this condition?

Hi. It seems the hard drive could be the problem. Try removing the hard drive and power on the computer.also see if you can plug it in to a external VGA monitor. If that doesn't work try replacing the ram. If not you need the gpu reflowed/reballed
