    Hey guys,

I was just wondering, do you think the Satellite A500 series is good? In terms of design, quality, performance? Also, how would you compare it to the HP DV6 series?

    Thanks!

I certainly think it's a nice notebook. I haven't got one, I have the A300 instead, but the A500 certainly is a nice one.

I think you can be safely assured that the quality on the Toshiba is going to be better than HP as well.

Hey. Based on my previous experience with hp, no way I would buy hp again. Last lappy overheated. I recently bought an a500. Been awesome so far, built quality is great, no heat issues, fast, battery life is reasonable (2 hours). Sure is heavier and thicker than the dv6, but no heat issues.

I also work at a computer retailer, for every toshiba returned, we would prob get around about 5 hp's... many of which come in under overheating issues.

    Hope it helps!!

The second one listed, with the Core i3 pretty much is a refresh. It was only anounced at CES this month.

Yeah, like shadow said, anything with a core i3 or core i5 is brand new. Normally going to be another 3-4 months before another refresh
