    satellite l45 optical disk drive

    I have a satellite l45 and the disk drive wont read any disks. I heard something about a pin being taped or something but am confused. any ideas? :confused:

    When you say "it won't read any discs", what do you mean? They don't show up in Explorer, they don't autoplay when inserted, etc. I doubt it has anything to do with a pin being taped.
