I bought a Toshiba Satellite 135 2276 from Best Buy four months ago. After trying it out for a while, I decided I'm more comfortable with my desktop, so I didn't use the laptop for two months. Now when I turn it on I get nothing. At first I thought it was that the battery died, but when I remove the battery and plug it into the wall I still get nothing - no charge lights, no lights at all. Any ideas? It's almost football season and I was looking forward to watching the games with the laptop on my recliner, so I could track my fantasy teams during the real games.

Since you laptop is in warrenty phone best buy have all can say remove the battery then plug in power adapter try fireing up but it seem already tryed that

I would say it would be your power adapter, no power supplying to you laptop, no power left in your battery therefore nothing happens

Took it back to Best Buy. They tried a different adaptor and still nothing. Then they tried my adaptor with another notebook and it tested fine. The geek in the tie said it's either the motherboard or the connection, and he offered to send it back to Toshiba for me under mfg warranty. One thumb up for Best Buy. They said I'll get it back in 10 - 14 days, and since it's a power issue they'll probably fix it rather than give me a new one. I almost forgot to take out my crucial 1gb RAM, went back and they took it out for me. Didn't charge me for a static free bag either. I always thought Best Buy was bad on service/returns, but they were really great. I'll update when the answer is known.

It was the motherboard. It was replaced for free and laptop has been fine for a month now. Not real happy that a six-month old laptop needed a new motherboard. I've always preferred desktop pc's (in fact, both are in my room right now and guess which one I'm typing this from) and this Toshiba was my first. Probably will be my last Toshiba since it had this problem and I've never had a problem with any of my desktop PC's.
satellite won't turn on
