well i have several lcd screens, 3 computer and 2 tv. the screen on the toshiba gets pretty warm and sometimes hot. it is really only near the bottom when its hot to the touch, while the top is completly cold. its just seeming weird.

    is this normal?

The heat is caused by the backlight inverter. It can get pretty hot during use. It is completely normal.
