    Hello, folks.
I "inherited" a Satellite 4015CDS from my father-in-law who no longer wanted it because it has some "peculiarities." I don't really have a use for it either, and I'm wondering if it's worth spending any time on it. This is what I know about it:
It has 96MB of RAM, a 4GB hard drive, a CD ROM, a floppy drive, an external mouse and Win98. When it first boots up, it works fine. But if you ignore it and let it go to standby, you might not be able to wake it up. If you can wake it up, it might work fine, or the display might not come on, or the display might come on but the mouse cursor is nowhere to be seen. I had it plugged in for 12-16 hours and the charging light was on, but when I unplugged it from the wall, it was dead as a doornail.
I would really like some opinions as to whether this thing is worth working on or if it should go to Goodwill. Thanks very much.

I've seen batteries advertised at more than $100. Could the computer even be sold for $100? Because I'm not really interested in keeping it.
    Thanks
