:toshiba: :toshiba: I have a quick question. At the end of the day my battery life is about 60% with my old notebook they said that I should not plug the battery in overnight. They said that if I kept the juice plugged into the battery after it is charged fully it could harm it, is this true with my Toshiba?

I would still discharge the notebook from time to time - maybe deplete it down to 20-30% once a month and then charge it back up, just so the battery keeps its charge.

after being plugged in for long periods at a time your battery loses memory to hold charged

it will give life times of about 10 minutes

i discharge my battery at least once a day

i had a DELL do it to me in Aug. 2005

i got the laptop in OCT 2004

dont remember how i did it i think i went on vacation for like 2 weeks or something

anyways tech support just sent me a new battery
