hey all new to the forums here... im having a major problem with my toshiba which is pretty much stock minus bloatware my benchmark scores in 3dmark06is really low like 3200 in default settings i noticed that my processer score is really low like 600~ and it shoule be 2.5 to 3X higher than that so i tried another cpu benchmark CINEBENCH and my cpu scoress were way out of whack so i dl'd CPU-Z and i noticed that my clock multiplier keeps changing from 6X to 9X also when this happens my voltage jumps from 1.175 to 1.275 when it goes to 1.275 that is when the multiplier changes to X6 whech make my processer jusmp from 1.8 ghz to 1.2 ghz. Has anyone else had problems with slow cpu scores i mean the 3dmark06 score is the same as my old athlon xp-2500 in my standalone pc. anyone have any thoughts to this and yes my power managment is on high performance and ive messed with everything mabee a hardware problem? and my hd-dvd video skipps fiercley like alot of other ppls. thankz for your time =D

Try using Notebook Hardware control to force the CPU multiplier on MAX.

can't adjust voltage or multiplier for some reason the boxes are grayish... hmm the program say that its running at the full 1.8 ghz but im still getting the same slow processer score which is weird and the monitor says sthat its running at 0-2% load so thats not it im stumped hmmmmm if my laptop is running at full speed with no load but all my cpu benchmarks are are way way to low something aint right benchmarks are about 1/3 the performance all across the board.. the graphics test side of 3dmark06 are a little bit slower than avg for this machine so the graphics part of this machine seems to be in working order. weird.... really i just want to send it in warranty style but im really not wanting to talk to someone that knows little about computers about this for 2 hours over the phone.
    again thankz for the help

On the two CPU tests in 3Dmark06, does it seem to run really slow, something like 0-1 FPS?

yeah it does run like 0-1 fps which i understand its supposed to.

my cpu score for default is 678 which is like 1/3 what is should be compared to other ppl that have done the test which is between 1500-1800~ .. the avg score for the x205 on default with default drivers is 4700~ im scoring like 3200~ total
