so far so good... first the sound wasnt workin but i had my recovery disk to fix that (thank goodness)
i also upgraded to new omega drivers instead of the regular ATI ones, (i have a radeon 200m) and i notice something different... I noticed that the font is a little more "crisp" feeling like a desktop feeling.... before I reformatted i remember my text having a more "anti-aliased" feeling where the font would be much bulkier and a little bigger... which i want..it's kind of hard to explain...
is there anyway I can get the font back to normal like when i bought it? is this a driver thing? it's not my resolution thats for sure..hopefully someone knows what i'm talking about..
thanks!

A couple of things you can do.
Right click on the desktop, go to properties --> Appearance Tab
Click Effects
Check Use the following method to smooth edges...
and select Clear Type.
This gives it the anti-aliasing feeling.
To make it bigger switch from the Appearance Tab to the Settings Tab and click on the Advanced Button. On the general tab change the DPI setting from Normal (96 DPI) to Large (120 DPI). This will make the fonts larger. I would only do this if you have a really high resolution screen. This can sometimes distort message box text.
so i reformatted my laptop....results
