    Hey
Recently on my laptop when i start up from stand-by the top speakers seem to turn off and the only speaker that works is the sub-woofer. I normally can fix it by going into the Realtek ctrl panel changing the sound quality, and then restoring it to default. I've tried downloading the newest Realtek driver, but still having the issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

Its funny that you should post something about this issue. I've noticed it happened to mine twice. All I had to do was reboot and everything worked find... so I'm guessing its a glitch in VIsta.... Not sure what exactly preceded it though - So I'm not sure how to proceed with troubleshooting.

Yeah, I've had the exact same thing happen a time or two, but hasn't happened in a while, and now that i think about it, don't think it's happened since I switched over to XP... mine wasn't related to stand-by though, it just did it once after I booted it up and i noticed it when i went to play some music....

I actually can't use standby on mine as either due to XP or the video drivers I'm running, mine won't resume from stand-by properly ever, it simply has a screen full of crazy colors or sometimes nothing at all.... but, for what it's worth, i know what you're complaining about, just don't know how to fix it ;-)
