ok just to add to this half an hour after making original post my monitor has just gone to a white screen and i could not get out of it . i rebooted laptop and it is showning lots of flickering horizontal lines and cant boot into windows fully . its taken 3attempts to boot back into windows but now this has happened 3 times in 2 days .
any ideas anyone ?
whats the replacement policy with toshiba ? -
I doubt its your fault.
Call Toshiba in as soon as you can. They will tell you what to do. You will probably have to send it in.
It looks like your CPU is overheating for some reason. -
i have phoned them at toshiba and are going to pick it up as its under warranty
seems to me its getting so high when im using nero to convert avi to dvd but id have thought the laptop should cope easy with that task . its only just started getting like this . -
Ya, if you aren't even doing anything and it reaches 90C, its not normal.
Not even normal if you are using nero to reach 90C, unless its running for a long time.
super high temp probs
