Hmm first of all I would like to get answers to these simple qns and then I can give a brief guide on how to do it...

Do you have any important data on the laptop and if so have you backed them up to some external hard drive or a network drive or something like that ?

Also do you have the XP drivers for all your devices for your laptop model ?

And I hope you have the XP bootable CD Rom too....

First of all thx a lot Ash for ur response...... Actually the laptop is brand new so I haven't even partetioned it yet........ so no data inside....
Now , the main problem that i think is as u said the Drivers programs for Xp for this particular model, since I don't have them . But yes I have the XP bootable CD with me.

Hmm try to obtain the XP drivers from the Toshiba support site because without it installing XP is a waste....

The procedure for installing XP is quite simple :

Insert the XP CDROM in the drive and boot using it.... Then you got to follow the steps thats all.... While it asks where to install XP you can create the partitions for XP since you say your hard disk is an unpartitioned one.... The rest other steps are quite straightforward during the XP Setup.....

Hi Ash, Luckily I got an XP recovery CD from Toshiba itself, which simply wipe out vista and put Xp on my system so the problem is solved and I got back my full hard drive space(145/160) which was drastically reduced(107/160) by having vista o.s. Thx anyways, have grt one.
