    toshiba tecra m2v s330 (out of warranty)

    i have searched this and forum and others, i have seen the question posted but did not find the answer- the problem is;

    the laptop does not start, the orange power led flashes, the flashing pattern is

    S S L S L S S S (S= short , L=long)

    i realize this is an error code, perhaps 00101000....but what does it mean?

    i will like know that before i spend for repairs.

    thanks

    Have you tried removing the battery and power adapter then hold power button for 30 seconds?
    You can't even get boot options F12 or anything?

    My experiences are whenever a laptop does that, the motherboard is gone. Never seen one resurrect from that state.
