    cant get into windows xp..

turned on a friends laptop and it keeps rebooting... at the begining of windows xp before it goes into the operating system it will shut down and reboot over and over. tried re-installing a clean install but wont read XP disc from the cd-rom and i tried everything to get into the bios to change the boot order but cant. i hit the esc key and prompts me to hit F1 but just reboots.. so cant get into bios to change boot order.. i can get into safe mode but every option i try, just reboot and reboots over and over .... i did disable the looping by changing something and got error message unmountable_boot_volume message came up.
    what up
    thanks
