This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Just ordered this machine, should be arriving on the 28th. (also known as the Toshiba X205-SLi3 ???)

    Just wondering what I should do to it first... I've read that most people have done a clean-install to get rid of all the useless programs it comes with, are there any downsides for doing this, for example loss of drivers, loss of the Toshiba HD-DVD player software etc...
    (Would I need a copy of the Vista CD to do this? or does this machine come with a Recovery Disk with this option?)

    Any other hints and tips are much appreciated.
