    hi buddy i have a strange problem with toshiba laptop...cannot detect usb device...everytime i connect usb device the pop up window appear saying that "USB DEVICED NOT RECOGNIZED" this problem start when i used for almost 8 hours w/o shutting down my laptop.....what should i do to solve this problem?

    mouse, usv drives, any usb device, it says device not recogniced

    try this:

    Turn off your computer using Shut Down or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG it from the wall outlet. Also remove the battery. Let it sit for about a minute and then plug it back in.

    i already try it....for almost 2 days without turning on my laptop...but suddenly no luck.....

    I would backup my files and then perform a clean install (after you try what Wall street said).

    i already installed a fresh copy of win vista but still not recognized usb device

    if non of the methods work, then it could be something wrong with the motherboard

    any idea how much the market place of this a135 satellite serries? so i can a make a choice to purchased a new one or replaced motherboard...thanks buddy

    A new motherboard will probably be $500 from toshiba.
    If you go to ebay you can probably get a used one for $170.
