Do you set the computer to 'balanced' or 'power saver' when you are on battery? That can make a big difference.

Battery life on laptops is generally not very good in my opionion. The A210 is a bit of a power hog compared to its Intel based brother the A205 which used the same battery.

Toshiba sells an extended life battery but its very expensive. If you do happen to purchase an extended life battery, ONLY buy a Toshiba model battery. DO NOT purchase a 3rd party battery. At my work we get hundreds of Toshiba laptops with 3rd party batteries and the customers always complaint that the battery either doesnt work at all or has short life. A good portion of 3rd party batteries for Toshiba simply dont work at all.
