My a215 seems to be 'dull' compare to my wifes acer laptop. We are both running Vista Home Premium but mine is with SP1. Her video card is an intel x3100 while mine is a radeon x1200. I do have a trubrite display but it doesnt look bright at all. Is it the sp1 that is messing it up? video card? My screen brightness looks like how my 6yr old Dell Inspiron. The brightness setting is already set to max. Any suggestions?

Try setting the brightness down and back up, using the Fn keys and then by the Power Mobility Center(right click power icon in taskbar) there should be 7 or 8 notches.
The brightness is not related to the video card.

I tried that and it still looks dull. Ive been searching the web and I read a few people having issues with ATI's Catalyst Control Center making their screen dull. This is one of the threads I read.

Although I do not have that option to change the black and white setting like they mentioned. From a different forum, some people wonder why its also not on their Catalyst Control Center.
