why is it so difficult to keep a laptop in good shape for a longer time? :(
Maybe one of you can help me with a problem that just popped up recently: i guess you all have in mind the image of a laptop lid and its hinges-the ones allowing the rolling up and down of the screen. well, in my case, the left one is showing signs of old age. the hinges should be stable ones but mine is now loose and when i open it, it pushes on the grill of the speakers and i am afraid to push it back in constantly because i can already see that there are wires there, conecting the screen and i fear they may broke at some point if i keep moving them with the hinge. I think there is some friction between the hinge and the wires and that this might be the reason for the loosening of the hinge-you know as if something took the space allowing it to move free and now it got loose from its place.
Man do i write. Maybe we should decide i limit on how much someone should write :)
In any case, i hope none of u had this problem but i do hope that one of u can help me out.

Reply back with what kind of laptop it is and I'm sure that information will help. If it's an emachines or gateway the hinges are faulty and the factory will replace them for free at this time.

and also, i did take off the grill covering the speakers and what i can see is that the lip holding it tight to the rest of the machine is out of its location going up and i cannot push it back in.
