About a year and a half ago my girlfriend's m35x started acting up with the DC-in problem that Toshiba has confirmed as a defect. She went with her parents to have them look at it and they charged her $250 for the repair and a new motherboard despite the fact that it was a warranty repair. I wasn't there to argue with them over that so she ended up paying for it because they didn't know any better. We got the computer back and everything was fine. 6 months to a year later, the computer started acting up again, and since the computer was no longer under warranty I decided to try to follow the guides that I found on this forum and others.
