i have been using my toshiba for some time but would now like to remove the preinstalled and yet to be activated software like norton av and the trial for office 2007 [i already have the full office 2007 home and student ed installed (though the case says service desk edition - office 2k7 sp1 doesnt like this for some reason)], would also like to remove the ulead dvd factory software too (windows dvd maker is much better IMO).

    any ideas?

There is a great free program to remove all the junk:

    goto: http://www.pcdecrapifier.com/

I run this everytime i get a new computer or recover the hard drive.

I installed a full version of MS Office 07 over the trial and I wasn't able to remove the trial one after. FYI.
