    toshiba satallite 1950 bios password problem

    one of my director has toshiba satallite 1950, when we clear the power on password form bios it will message the password is clear, but after saveing configuration, the password window again appear and not accepting any password, i only clear user password, supervisor password still the same but it will not accept any password, if any body know how the password is reset.

    Was the password set for the HDD as well? There's no way to reset the HDD password, and if a password was applied to the HDD, the HDD's password is most likely re-applying the password back to the system BIOS. The only way to remove it is to enter the correct password, other than that, I don't think there's any way to remove it. IBM's are like this, IBM service says you have to replace both HDD and motherboard for the password to be eliminated. Just changing 1 part will have the password re-applied to the new replacement part.

    no its just bios password i removed the user password but it still demanding password

    It's possible the password got corrupt, therefore not accepting when you type the password. You're probably gonna have to send it in for service to get it removed successfully.
