    toshiba satelite pro laptop help

    Hi, i have a toshiba satelite pro L20 laptop i belive the model name is, it's out of warrenty, and when i plug it into the mains, it says it's not plugged in and runs the battery down, i was wondering why this is? How could this be fixed? Thanks

    you should check the voltage of the ac adapter. it is possible it is broken.

    if it tests good, check the dc jack to see if it is loose.

    if the dc jack feels loose, pull out the battery and slowly move the ac adapter pin around in the dc jack, trying to find a spot that will power it on. If you are able to power it on in some spots and not others the dc jack is bad and needs to be replaced.

    BTW, there is no Satellite Pro L20.
