toshiba satellite a80 question

can windows 2000 professional be dropped on this notebook? will all of the drivers be found? can drivers be downloaded for any that aren't found by the 2k install?

i have an older toshiba notebook which toshiba does not support windows 2000 on, however i dropped 2k on there and it works perfectly fine.

however, i tried to do that on a newer toshiba notebook and there were no win2k drivers for video sound and wireless so i had to leave it XP (which i despise).

so i am wondering if anyone here knows if this A80 aptop will take a 2k install and work fine.

Most drivers are 2k/XP since XP is based on 2k. You could throw it on and find out.

 

yeah i did that with the L25 satellite and found out i cannot install 2k on it (no 2k driver for video, sound and wifi). so before buying this one, i was curious if anyone knows whether or not 2k works on this laptop.

anyone know?

You could try it out see what happens. Most likely I think it will work. You can always go back to XP.
