what brand of memory does the p100/105 use?
i am thinking of buying a 2gb of ddr2 667mhz corsair value line instead from toshibadirect.com's customize configuration.
but i am not sure if the toshiba memory is superior.

Toshibia liikely uses a generic brand such as Hynix. Memory is memory is memory as long as you have a warranty against DOA modules. Corsair is a reputable brand, go for it if it's cheaper than upgrading from Toshiba.

I have a Toshiba 105 with the 2GB of memory and it is using Hynix. I didn't upgrade it as I came with the 2GB but if you can save money ordering it elsewhere then go for it.
