    hi guys

    ive got the above laptop, current BIOS is v1.20, im going to add a new hard drive Fujitsu MHV2120AH 120gb....5400 rpm.....shall i upgrade the bios to the latest version ?...or shall i just leave it as it is ?....will the current BIOS support this new drive..?

    Check the update log on the Toshiba support site regarding the new BIOS. If the update log doesn't address this issue, don't bother updating.

    Two good things to remember about BIOS updating, to avoid turning your laptop into a brick are:

    -Update only when needed. If the fix mentioned doesn't affect you, don't update.
    -Only download the BIOS from the manufacturer. Never from one of those third party sites that store a bunch of them.
