    so i just ordered the tecra a4, w/

    pentium 1.83
    256 ram (gig from newegg)
    geforce go 6600 128mb
    60gig 5400 sata
    trubrite
    supermulti

    what are your thoughts on the tecra line, and the above setup? how bout the true brite screens? is the one for the tecra the same as the one for the qosmio? how long did it take to get you custom order?

    also, how well do you think it could run oblivion, battlefeild 2 etc... say medium settings?

    btw this site helped alot in my decision, very thoguhtful feedback

    Tecras usually have better build quality than regular Satellites do. The 6600 Go should be plenty for running BF2 and Doom3, just make sure to get the 1GB of RAM before you do so! The screeens in the Qosmio and Tecra lines are completely different - Qosmios have dual-lamps, making them easily the best/brightest screens out on the market. However, the Tecras screens should be of high quality, just not as good as the Qosmios are.
