    Hello :)
Just found this awsome review of the new toshiba x200 from some french web site.
    http://materiel.froggytest.com/modules/magazine/article.php?articleid=181
Look prety good, tought the test is short, they have liked the build quality, the speaker, the special touchpad(mini-lcd). On the con there is the weight(3,5 kg), the medium quality keyboard, and the price(1599-1999 euro)
But the things that interest us is the bench of the 8700m gt on 3dmark2006....here it is:

I tought It could do more than that but...bah...not bad tought haha

hmm... So they run 3DMark06 on 1680x1050 and got 4021? Is that suppose to be good or bad... I mean 1680x1050 is a bit too much for gaming imo...

EDIT: so the 8700M GT is the 8800M GS...
"For the small history, in the properties of the system, the graphics board is named: 8800M GS. As confirmed to us the same person in charge Toshiba, it acts of the name of which nVidia thought initially for its 8700M GT. Here, the pilots are not yet completely up to date…"

I dont think they runed the 3dmark06 in max resolution..if they do it's very very good, better than 9750gtx score...

Correct... However it seems they ran the standard. This would unfortunately indicate that the new 8700 shows only a ~5% gain in comparison to 8600GT...

But that's still only speculations... Only deep in-game testing will show us some REAL results...

hmm... only 5% faster than the 8600GT makes it only available in a 17 inch? I hope Nvidia is right about that 8700M GT runs far cry and lost coast 30% faster than the 7950gtx... If not then I'll just have to wait for the 8800M to come out... :(

30% faster wasnt about 7900gs? so equivalent to 8600gt, witch put us about the power of a 7950gtx..would like it would be that, the 7950gtx is enought powerfull but lack the dx10 suport

Yea it is about the Go 7950GTX.. ;) I really hope it is true... :p

    from http://www.tech2.com/india/news/gra...a-launches-geforce-8700m-gt-mobile-gpu/7042/0
"The GeForce 8700M GT will be the top chip in NVIDIA’s Mobile stable replacing the existing GeForce Go 7950 GTX. NVIDIA claims 3DMark05 scores of 10,371 with the GeForce 8700M GT on default settings. In comparison the GeForce Go 7950 GTX scores 9,395 in 3DMark05. The GeForce 8700M GT is also 27-34% faster than the GeForce Go 7950 GTX in Half Life 2: Lost Coast and Far Cry."
