I thought touchpad only worked with direct skin contact.
But just now my touchpad worked through gloves, i.e the mouse moved as my 'gloved' finger passed over the touchpad..
and they are pretty warm and loose wooly gloves.

It isn't happening now.. just happened for a few seconds, but it definitely did. btw my lappy is currently suffering from random unresponsive keyboard/toouchpad and static noise from speakers, cld this be related in some way??

    comments plz ??

I can use my touchpad with gloves on too. I don't think the static noise is related to the unresponsive kboard/tpad.

I am experimenting with everything(which includes wearing gloves) to debug my random(very very random) keybaord/touchpad freezing.

Maybe Lysol spray? If that doesn't work, maybe updated drivers would help? Have you tried adjusting the speed and sensitivity for the touchpad? Not sure where to go with the keyboard issue - sorry.
