    transfer the Recovery partition to CD?

    Currently my Q850's 64GB SSD has 13GB allocated for Recovery.. Thats a HUGE waste in precious SSD space.

    Is it possible to copy the "Recovery Partition" to a CD or wherever and have this CD bootable to install the OS?

    Run the Recovery Disk Creator to burn the Recovery DVDs. See your User's Guide for information on doing this which normally starting on page 69. Once you have created those recovery dvds you can remove that partition.
