    here's the specs.

    toshiba satellite p200 ( latest bios )
    windows vista
    ati 2600 latest video drivers.
    soyo topazS 24"

I've recently bought a 24" LCD monitor to use as a primary monitor for my home systems and a secondary / extended display for my notebook. The first couple of days everything was working normally. I would plug the LCD into my notebook vga-out using a vga cable. ATI catalyst control center (CCC) would recognize an 'Analog l24' was plugged in and I was able to extend or clone my desktop with no problems.

For some reason the last time I plugged the LCD in it recognized a 'DDC Display' and has not worked ever since nor has any other vga monitor. Once plugged in, my LCD monitor shows 'NO SIGNAL' and goes into standby...

Is there some sort of bios setting that needs to be changed?? There must be an 'overide' kind of setting that is influencing this...

Has anyone ever heard of a vga-out that just stops working......

Any help would be greatly appreciated..........

    thanks

i've uninstalled / reinstalled drivers. I've also tried restoring the system back to 'like new' from a hard drive image that i made when I bought the notebook.

Sounds like a hardware problem, then. Maybe you should contact Toshiba.
