My sister lives in the middle east and wants me to buy a descent laptop for her to stay with her for a long time.. She preferred Toshiba. Budget price is up to $ 650.00 ( any type of Toshiba notebooks ). She wants to use the internet, googling, emails, Microsoft office, Oracle and live messenger, no other complicated software .. She is not interested in movies or games at all. She wants to keep it on disk.
I need to purchase a laptop with good quality since she will not have advantage of being under warranty.. she can't ship it back to USA for repair.
    Somebody told me about Toshiba L305-S5944 , L305D-S5934 , L305-S5919 offers from best buy around $ 400.00.

other friends told me that those are plastic made and you don't know if the keys will stay for a long time or not.. Metal is better and stay longer.
    I found two models.. A305-S6916 and M305-S4910.
Which one do you recommend me to purchase for my sister ? Is it fine to have a plastic made laptops ?
I am afraid if I buy one of the cheap models, that they will not be so good performance and might need repairing and maintenance frequently.. I just don't want her to loose her money.. Any advices ? Thanks

I own the Toshiba L300D-02808C model and it is fantastic. Never had a problem with it once yet besides the power jack issue, but that was resolved at the place I bought it from. If snapshots are needed be, I'll take some of my laptop later. All for around the price of around $599

My wife has the A305-S6916 It performs quite well at all her uses and even plays world of warcraft at pretty reasonable settings. I purchased it in January and we have not had any problems out of it to date.
