i've been doing research about my college/gaming laptop and it seems that

qosmio f55 is my best deal. however, i only see f55-q502 model which is 2.0

ghz cpu.... the one i'm looking for is f55-q503...

i've search every websites such as amazon, bestbuy, macmall,jr,SEARS,, so

on... but couldn't find q503 model. since i have to order it no later than

August 10, i want to know when they will release it...

does anybody know/heard when they gonna release f55-q503 laptop?

(no words from toshiba website...) btw does toshiba gonna offer f55 on their

    website, too?
    thanks

prob a delay, they pulled a lot of the rumored notebooks recently.
They only put the X305 back up recently

I have been searching everywhere for this computer myself. I have spoken with Amazon and Sears (local and national) and they are both saying they have "no known date" for when they will receive this laptop.
Best Buy (both local and national) claim that they are not carrying the 503 model - no one can find it in their system without a SKU and I can't seem to find anyone who claims to have seen it in a store to give me the store location or the SKU number.
I called Toshiba as well - the 1-800-TOSHIBA number is their 'Toshiba Direct' reseller, which is the same as the website. They are not carrying the 15" model (only the G55) and neither the sales person or his supervisor had any info on a release date or whether they will be carrying the F50/55 models in the future.
So... yeah. :) I have no idea where to find this 503 model and at this point it seems like it's just a wait and see. I would suggest the Sager NP8660 or the Asus G50V since they at least have known release dates but I think they're both later in the month of August (14-18 I believe).

    Bummer.

Anybody has any news about Qosmio F55-Q503 ? It's still my "first choice" notebook and I don't know how long I'll have to wait for it...

Thanks for your help! Any news highly appreciated!

Any updates on this? It is showing on Amazon as available for pre-order, but no mention of the date. Also still not available on BestBuy or anywhere else!

I haven't seen any news on the 503. I however did buy the F55-Q502 and was playing crysis in high settings. It runs, and runs well.

So you know if you have any questions about the 502 shoot me a PM. Also, i noticed the Bestbuy stats on it were off a bit. Namely the Bestbuy says the ram is running less than it is, but the ram in the notebook is 800mhz 3gb.

I am thinking it might show up later in September...I thought I saw something on that, but not entirely sure. Good Luck on the Hunt! :D

I am now leaning towards a q502 even if the q503 DOES show up :) I am sure the battery life will be better, and it will run cooler. I am glad i didn't find the q503 in all the best buy's i visited (or it could be psychological trick, so who knows!)

What I heard was that Toshiba was having a problem with the Intel chip (not enough were being made or supplied or something like that) and so they held back production until they can get enough of the chips. It's either that or they are trying to get rid of an excess of the F55-Q502, which was the previous laptop in the F55 line.

I think the F55-Q502 is targeted toward a lower price range so I don't think they're going to get rid of it any time soon.

The real last-gen models were the F45 series but those are long gone.

I heard somewhere the release date was today... but still no retailers have it. And also, Toshiba Direct no longer lists any Qosmio

The webpage has been there for some time now... it's just the laptop doesn't appear for sale anywhere.
