Here is the situation. I purchased an M30 (m33xxx) at my local retailer when my A70 decided to pack it in after 2 months. As with the A70 it came preloaded with XP home version. I loaded XP Pro, downloaded all drivers from the Canadian site and updated it all. Works quite nicely except for the multimedia button in the front of the laptop. Is there a driver or .exe for these buttons? Are they configureable? I just want them to be able to control a dvd playback. Any help is appreciated.

After more searching I found that it's the Express Media Player buttons that I'm refering to. Has anyone who has upgraded to XP Pro found a patch that will let you load the player or found a rip of the program?

AFAIK this cannot be done. The Media Center has to be loaded first before the OS install and using any disk except the Toshiba recovery disks wipes out the Media Center buttons as you already know. There has been a lot of discussion about this and to the best of my knowledge no one has found a work around. Sorry.
