I have used Realtek for years, every pc and laptop has had Realtek audio and Vista supports it great.

Now i have an A300, D on order and it has Conexant Audio Chipset is this a problem?, why did Toshiba make the switch?

I had a look on the Conexant website, and it`s not a patch on Realtek`s

    Thanks

    John.

I hate Conexant. My last laptop had it and it was horrible. The mic input had no Vista support. Realtek Semiconductor makes a much better codec and actually backs it with nice software/drivers

They suck so much, they have them in the hp's too.
