    x205 sli1 audio out put ?

    i just receently bought this laptop and i was wondering how to connect it to a 5.1 channel source via (SPDIF cable) which i think is the correct name for it. i have the realtek hd audio software on this computer

    do a search to get a link, but it's a mini-TOS connector that you need, it's actually an optical connection. So, either a mini-TOS to TOS cable, or an adapter and then just use a regular optical cable

    now when i get this cable all i have to do is set the output on the computer to digital and the optic cable will pick up the signal

    Yeah, under the Realtek control panel under the main control panel, you'll see the output settings with little pictures of the connection.... just click the one you want to use and you'll be good to go.
