just wondering - i have the s9349 and was wondering if i would get any performance boost in games and such by installing another gig of ram? it currently has 2 gigs, is it worth it to install more ram and how much ram can this laptop hold? thank u

More RAM never hurts, so I'm sure you would notice an increase in performance. My guess is that you only have 2 RAM slots, both of which are more than likely already filled with 1GB. It would probably be better and more convenient to go ahead and upgrade to 4GB and just skip 3GB. I have not looked up the specs of your laptop, so you may have 4 slots.

Hi I been thinking to upgrade the memory as well.
    2 x 2GB which brand should i go with ?
    PQI 667 or 800 $ 85 for both version
    OCZ 667 for $85 or 800 for $105
    A Data 667
    Kingston 667
    Geil 667 $79 after rebate or 800 $119
    G-Skill 667
I would recommend to upgrade to CPU as well if you have the S9349 model
the T7500 cost around $250 or $330 for the T7700.

okay i just found out what i needed...
windows vista 32bit does not support 4 gigs of ram in the first place so it's pointless to get 4gb.

3 gigs may give u some performance ONLY IF YOU DO A LOT OF MULTITASKING OR RUNNING APPS IN THE BACKGROUND.

in terms of what i really wanted to know - if your gaming, anything more than 2gb of ram is not necessary unless u run background apps while playing games (which i never do neways)

guess i wont waste my money :)
