I have inherited a Panansonic Toughbook CF-18 and when I power it up it asks for a password for administrator. I have tried not using a password and this doesn't work. I do not have anything that originally came with the toughbook. It looks like a really cool laptop but it is sooooo frustrating not being able to use it.

Welcome to the forum... Please read some of the stickies on the tops of the forums. It sounds like you are asking for passwords or how to defeat or bypass them. This is a huge "No-No" on our forum.

You can search Google for help on Admin to XP but there is nothing here for that.

    Sorry...

    Rick

    Hello,

The easiest way to reset the admin password is

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

As I said... We DO NOT discuss how to bypass any passwords here!
