I am the proud owner of a CF 29. I want to upgrade my HDD to a 7200rpm and size doesnt matter as long as its 40GB or above but preferably 120GB max.

The stock 4200 is quiet so i would prefer a quiet drive as well. I have found several on newegg but they are either ata 6 or 5400rpm.

Good luck with that... They are few and far between, and VERY costly! a 100GB 7200 RPM IDE Toshiba drive goes for $100-$150 these days...

Thank you for this post. It seems this IS the fastest notebook drive currently.
I will be getting this even though its 160GB and i wanted to avoid having left over space after the 137GB mark.

I now have do research on why the 5400rpm pata drive outperforms 7200rpm sata drives. Realisticly it doesnt make sense i hope to find the reason.

NO LONGER LOOKING FOR HDD unless of course you have a new HM160HC
