not sure if the shipping would be cost prohibitive. I will verify they work, but last time i tried it was with the dock, never figured how to make the wireless monitors work.

To answer the question, if the CF-07s work, I pulled out the CF-VEB07IW desktop dock, inserted the CF-07L252YDM computer, however for testing, no CF-VZSU21 batteries were present. I then connected the CF-VDL02 PDRC monitor and the CF-VKBL01 PDRC keyboard to the desktop dock, however upon attempted activation of the power button, I got no joy, as I had overlooked power. I then connected a CF-AA1639A power supply to the desktop dock and a CF-AA1623A power supply to the monitor and upon activation the system booted, windows 2000, with a wopping 5 gig hard drive and 129 megs of RAM. This was repeated with the second CF-07, and it booted the same. SO, they work.. :)

If the 2 backlit (chiclet?) PDRC keyboards fit the CF-29 I'd like to buy them if you'll ship to the UK...
But if they do fit the 29 isn't $20 each too cheap?
Also 2 sleds with the sim covers please!

Those are indeed emissive keyboards, but an older style with a green glow that only works on CF-28 using the Texas inverter board.

I'll finish all the PM and updates in a little bit. Sorry about the PDRC keyboards not working out, I had a bunch of them, and some that came with emmisive keyboards were pulled out and used on toughbooks. So I also have the shells from five PDRC keyboards, thats how the white keyboard in the picture came into being.

OK, Muzza100, thats 1 cf-07, the dock and two cf-18 handles, I checked via USPS and just estimating the price without weight or deminions for all items seems expensive. It looks like the cheapest is actually the flat rate box as it goes up to 20 lbs in weight, and I think it will fit in a medium box at $45.00 USD otherwise its $53.00 USD for a large box.

And UncleMack, you want the two cf-29 sleds Via USPS prioirty flat rate small box it looks like shipping would be $13.95 USD.

    Both shipped to the UK?

please PM me with address info and how you want them sent, and I'll figure out the cost. They will be shipping from Tallahassee, Florida 32308 if that helps.

    I'm certainly open for suggestions.

    Jeff,

Of course, your box always has room.

Now can you remind me whats in your box? I'm having a senior moment.

Other than a cf-18 wiring harness, what else did I put in it?

Orphanlr, I want to buy two items:

    - 19. P1S3BZA3M HANDHELD COMPUTER, almost NIB, $50.00
    - 21. CF-29CTKGZKM, 1.2 768 RAM, NO CADDY,HD,OS, OR BATTERY, JUST THE LAPTOP. TESTED TO BIOS, WELL USED BY SOMEONE, $75.00

Do you have a cable for the caddy on the CF-29? How much does it cost?
I see that you send international shipping (I live in Chile), how we finish the buy?

    Thanks!

Let me see what the postal rates to chile are first, send me the postal cade, and then I can check.

I dont have any spare cf-29 caddies or cables I want to part with, sorry, but if shipping isnt a major issue, and you pay for it, I might be able to get one on ebay, with a HD, and since I will have the restore disks, maybe even install the OS and drivers back to factory before shipping.

No Promises, but lets check on shipping before we do anything, as it may not be worth it.

Thanks. (by the way, I was volunteer on an Orphan center some time ago, is really nice what you do!)

The postal code is 7550000, and this is for a place called "Las Condes", on Santiago.

How much do you think a caddy with cable can cost?

PS: what is "CF-29 antenna set, $15.00". The internal antena (behind the LCD), the topcover antena for WWAN?

    Sam,
I think I have a CF-29 drive already set up for Mark1. I just need to pop it in a caddy. Keep it in mind before buying from the flea. I'll go do that(pop it) and check it out and let you know if case this deal goes through.

    Jeff....keep it in the family that-a-way :D

You should contact Sadlmkr and see what he has. Beyond some caddies, I know he has some complete cf-29s with all the toys, and if you talk nice, you might get him to ship to Chile. As near as I can tell, a cf-29 will fit in a interntional priority mail flat rate box for $45.

To ship the P1 and a cf-29, your now out of the flat rate size and it gets quite expensive. If you want to research it some more, figure the size of the cf-29 comming from Tallahassee, Fl. 32308.

    Rottenapple,
I'll tell you one time. There is no cheap computer. In my opinion as far away as you are you need a complete unit. I've talked to Sam and he agrees. It will just cost too much to pick up a part here and a part there. Postage will tear you up.
    That being said....what Mark do you think you want? I have in stock any Mark CF-29, a CF-30, and a couple CF-19, 52, 74, 28, 48.
We can keep it to a minimum...1.)$75 computer (my cost) + what? DVD?, hdd of course, upgrade the hdd? (standard is 40Gb) Panasonic power supply...100V-240V 50-60 Hz output 15.6V @ 5A ..will this be an issue? Is 12V better?
    Fair for you-fair for me.
What I DO is ship a complete ready to work unit. No messing with drivers, restore disks etc. Just turn it on. I have a CF-29H3 model now HT (added a NEW touchscreen)that would be pretty reasonably priced.
Talk to me PM if you are interested in a complete unit.

    Thanks Sam (orphanir),

    Jeff

    Thanks Orphanlr!
Are you sure that the CF29 and the P1 don't fit on the $45 priority flat rate box?
(I don't need the box (if exist) or other fancy stuff, just the PDA and cables to use it).

Update: The Large Flat Rate box is priced at $58.50, the extra $13 are no big deal and there must fit the toughbook and the pda.

By the way, the $15 "Antena set for the CF-29" what is? It's the internal antenna (Behind the LCD) or the WWAN (the one that lift up like and old cellphone on top of the screen).
Do you have one of this antennas? I want to add an internal GPRS modem over the mainboard USB port and use this antenna to take better signal.

I think that only need the cable. No caddy or HDD because I plan to use it with a big Compact flash card that my sister gave me :D
No OS or drivers, because I use linux on this machine.

    Thanks Jeff.
I really appreciate your help, but I think now I only need Sam's Toughbook, a PDA that is selling and a HDD cable. But I'm interested in the complete CF30 for my dad. He really like my computer, always is looking at and here in Chile you don't find. How much can cost a CF30 complete with Windows and ready to use?

OK, I will try the boxes and advise.

I can say no way they will all fit in the standard medium, as after you put a wrapped toughbook in, you can barely fit the ac adapter. The large boxes arent that much bigger, more square than rectangle, but I will try to see if I can get it to fit tommarow in a large box, the toughbook and the PDA, and the pda dock and charger, all minus the PDA box.

As for your just needing the cable for a CF card application, your in luck, I have a cable that might work, came from another toughbook, mabye a cf-50/51 or something, and while its shorter than the standand cf-29/18 cable, it has the same connectors, and I've used it in the past to hook up a test HD to an open case cf-29, so that may work.

Now the antennas are for the case, yes, behind the lcd, but those are now off the table anyway as I need them to fix one I have, and yours has them. I had two of the old cellphone type, small antennas, but those are sold. I have one more I discovered on a spare cf-29 lcd, but its the short one as well, not the long wip style.

SO, give me another day to see if the box fits and I'll let you know.

    Sam

    That sounds great Sam! Thanks.
Tell me the price of the cable please, to add to the total.
About the antenna... the short one (last that you find)... is the "cellphone style"? If the answer is yes, is good for me too!

    Thanks again Sam!

the antenna is for free?
(just because you don't put a price on it!)
(if it isn't free tell me the price please)
(if you can disassemble the pda box and put using no space of the big box is great... only if you can and if fit :) )

    Rotten, :)

Went to the warehouse today to check, albeit after delivering one kid to speed skating and another to soceer (sorry for football for you) and tried the fit.

The Cf-29 fits, if with minimal bubble wrap, the P1 bubble wrapped fits, the dock fits, the HD cable fits, the antenna after 20 minutes to get it off the donor lcd, fits, the P1 documentation fits, and the AC adapter will fit when I find it, but the P1 box, carefully taken apart and folded, makes the whole package sit to high and so wont fit. Otherwise, I would say it will work.

    Sam, thanks again!

    In prices, we have this:
    - $75 CF29
    - $50 P1
    - $10 HDD Cable
    - $15 Antenna

    Total: $150

USPS large box is $58,50. I'm right no?
This must be paid at the time of sending (USA) or receiving (CHILE)?
If you must make when you submit, then I have to pay you a total of $208,50... I'm right?

Last thing: do you have a CF-28 internal mic?

I want to buy you the following items:
CF29, P1 PDA, HDD cable and antenna. With the shipping paided in USA by you the total is $208,50... I'm right?

And if you can put a disk drive from Rob's pile would be great! (uses no space on the box because it goes inside the cf29)

If you agree to the values, tomorrow I transfer you the money using Paypal (need your info for this, you can send me an email).
