Hello, as many know I am a fan of the Lenovo AC/DC 72W 16V Combo Power Supply (Part # 22P9021 and AKA P/N 22P9003) for use on the Panasonic CF-29. This and a small bag of adapters have given my CF-29 near world-wide power usage abilities. Unfortunately my DC Power Cable,is mucked up through... misadventure. This cable has a label with the following:

    ASM: 73P4509
    FRU: 73P4510

Sooooo, does anyone have a spare that they would like to part with for semi-reasonable coin? :D

TECH TIP: Take a Silver or White Sharpie and mark the side of the AC/DC Adapter that should be "up" when the plug is "up" and oriented correctly. Mark the plug as well!

Otherwise you will be adding "me to" on this solicitation! You can plug this cable in upside down, it will just never work again...

See if the cig lighter plug portion comes apart. Lots of dc adapters have a fuse hidden inside.
Does the adapter portion still function? With DC input? If not, try opening up the black brick and replacing the internal fuse. The cable itself should not be affected by incorrect polarity unless it has a fuse.
That DC cable is tough to find.

    Hey Shawn!

Thanks for the Tech advice, however the pins are bent on mine from being forced in upside down by some ham handed jerk!

In that case you may be able to buy the end connector from Mouser and just replace it.

    Stolen info from another site...
    Original post

............. but I recently made up a D/C cable for my 22P9003 / FRU 22P9021 Thinkpad adapter and thought I would provide some information on it to save someone else the research time.

I used a Kycom Snap and Lock Power Cable DC connector, manufacturer's part number KPJX-CM-4S to plug into the DC connector on the power brick. I got this from Mouser Electronics - their part number is 806-KPJX-CM-4S. Cost was about $4.70, shipping another $5.

For the automobile lighter plug side, I used a Bell Accessory Plug and Cord 39047-8 obtained from Pep Boys. Cost about $6.

I soldered the two together, observing that looking at the prong-hole side of the plug, with the two smaller holes on top, that the positive pins were the pair on the right side, ground pins the pair on the left.

I got to admit that I wish I could have found a source for the cable itself, but now at least I can keep my T43 charged up ............

    Good Information Shawn!

Mods perhaps we should move this to the main area, after I have located a cable?

I have had problems with this, and frankly other notebook power supplies getting dragged off the floor and splitting in half or the case being compromised.

So my newest mod is to help armor the power supply and make it a more rugged companion to my Toughbook. Af first I though of just gluing some pieces of rubber diamond plate on it and calling it a "Blackbird" mod or some such nonesense...

But anyway, when I sobered up and realized how this was I decided to just rubber armor it with a few layers of bicycle intertube. So far it is working fine and looks halfway decent. It also keeps it from sliding so much when it is on a smooth and slick surface.

    Cost: Free!
