The most recent generation of CF-19's i've purchased (MKV Win 7 32 bit)do not come with the recovery disk any longer. Does anyone know how to go about aquiring this much desired disk or the software via download, should it ever be needed in the future. Thanks

I just bought one of these to resell and noticed that it comes with a program that will burn a restore disc ONE TIME for you. It also says that the disc will ONLY work on THAT machine. Of course I use images anyway but it would be nice to know if it will work in another Mk5 19 It is a nice machine! Wish I could keep it!

A few months ago I bought a Restore disk from Heartlands for my CF-53. This restore disk was marked Restore disk for CF-52MK4 / CF-53MK1 W7. When I installed this on my 53 it installed W7 32bit (no choice) and in the Panasonic folder in the start menu you will find a program called Recovery Disk Creation Utility . This will let you make a restore disk for your 53...now you might ask why do this since I already have the cd But this will let you chose between 32bit or 64bit Windows 7. When I did the first install it did not ask me if I wanted to install 64bit OS...only choice was 32bit. This is a one shot deal...it will only run once. I did the 64bit restore disk (2).
Now on mine I can tell you that the Restore Disk Set will work in other 53MK1's. It will not work on the 52MK4...I had to run the disk again the same way I did the 53 and make a set for it too. My understanding is this is the way Panasonic is doing it now.

Remember this is a one shot deal...you mess it up you are out of luck :cry:
