Gone to eBay
The Captain has been digging in the lazarette (look it up):
1) Two working CF-27 Toughbooks and one Parts Machine.
2) Used
3)![]()
4) $85.00
5) PayPal
6) USPS or UPS, whichever is cheaper.
7) eBay capt.dogfish 217 100%
8) a. CF-27EB6GCAM 300mhz Touchscreen 10GB 128mb Windows 2000Pro SP4
Genuine COA,All covers except AC, floppy, battery is questionable,
MS Street&Trips, Offshore Navigator, Office 2000. Screen is very bright,
only a few marks from the keys on the screen protector.
b. CF-27EB6GCEM 300mhz Touchscreen 6GB 196mb Windows 2000Pro SP4
Genuine COA, All covers, 2 hour battery, Bios Password, Screen is
bright and virtually spotless screen protector.
c. CF-27LBAGHEM parts machine 500mhz, HD Caddy w/connector, back
door missing, keyboard connector broken, but on CF-27 it is on a
sub-board so the mobo is good. Needs touchpad (its in a 28),
and a keyboard, the screen on this one is a little rough, no
protector.
d. One brand new Panasonic CF-VZSU04W battery. I don't know how
old it is but its never been used.
Good learner package for Newbie, rebuild the 500mhz, if you break some-
thing you won't want to kill yourself. All the drivers are installed, these were at work on my last dredge job. a. will take you where you want to go, just plug in a USB GPS. Sorry, I don't have any spare AC adaptors. Keep looking, the lazarette is full!

Got too much 27 and 25 stuff now otherwise decent deal there Cap.
By the way......
Mystery solved.
A lazarette is usually a storage locker used for gear or equipment a sailor or bosun would use around the decks on a sailing vessel. It is typically found below the weather deck in the stern of the vessel and is accessed through a hatch if accessed from the main deck or a doorway if accessed from below decks. The equipment usually stored in a lazarette would be spare lines, sails, sail repair, line and cable splicing repair equipment, fenders, bosun chair, spare blocks, tools etc.
I guess the Toughbook stuff stored there would fall under the etc category eh?

Rick,
Toughbooks could also fall under hammers, anchors, heaving line weights, weapons, etc.
