    1) Emissive Backlit Keyboard for CF-19 and CF-18, Panasonic part number CF-WKB193VM

    2) NEW!

    3) Photo of the keyboard, and similar one installed on my favorite CF-18:

    4) Price is $175 + $12 S&H

    5) PayPal preferred, money order must clear bank before shipment.

    6) Ship only to continental US by USPS Priority Mail insured

    7) Check Ebay feedback for member Sailcat7. Or ask forum moderators.

    8) This is Panasonic's newest cool upgrade for your CF-19 or CF-18, an "emissive" backlit keyboard. Keys have adjustable backlight like the rubber model but with the nice feel and easy typing of standard chicklet keys. Up till now available only for the fully rugged CF-29/30/31 but just released in a compact version for the CF-19. Will fit and function perfectly with any model CF-18 or CF-19. Easy upgrade, just a few screws to swap with your existing keyboard, don't need to disassemble the case.

Only 3 available at this price to forum members only

Edit 12/26/2010: One sold, another "spoken for", one more still available.

Edit 12/29/2010: Two sold, one pending ..

Attention Buyers: Please do not offer less than what the original poster asked for unless they specify "Best Offer". If you have a question about the price of an item please private message the original poster.

That is a great price. If I didn't already have one I'd grab one. This is the best upgrade for everyday use. I used to hate using my CF-19 at night. Now I use it all the time.

Hello. I will love one of the keyboards. Two problems. Will you mail one to Canada? Second, have no money until January 07.2011 (pay day). Will you hold one for me? Thanks, Merry Christmas, Voytek.

I call dibs on one. Funny I was just eyeing an ebay auction as I could never get used to the rubber keyboard. If I get it anyone want a lightly used rubber one for cheap?

Let me know how much for the rubber one should you decide to sell. Thanks!

Would you sell one to someone who signed up for a forum account today because of this thread? I may be unknown around these parts, but I did this. Also, may have a rubberized for sale soon :)

That's a great page and your efforts will no doubt prove real helpful to someone. But sorry to say these keyboards are pretty much all gone now -- 2 sold and the last has a deposit on it.

You can still get them new from several sellers on FleaBay ...

ah well, thanks anyway. I went here:
    Panasonic CF-WKB193VM Keyboard

Despite them having a ridiculous name and a hokey looking website, I had a new emissive keyboard plus a new cable cover in three days. Although, I should note, it arrived in a (padded) envelope which could easily have been bent.

Okay, I am curious, and can't find the answer to this in the FAQs: what makes the plastic keyboard "emissive" and the rubber keyboard not "emissive"? They both emit light, do they not? Does it have to do with the lighting technologies used?
