    I have a CF-28 (CF28S3QGBDM) in generally-good cosmetic condition and working order.

It is complete with the CD-ROM drive carrier and CD-drive, extra RAM, HDD, and AC supply (Fujitsu 100-240vac In/16v 3.36a Out).

I have the replacement strip that someone on this Forum gave me - it goes on the front left (where those interesting buttons are - our little guy damaged the original one), it needs the USB connector in the back repaired (it is loose), and I have the PCMCIA door (needs to be reattached - the little guy again). I can fix that stuff but if you are handy and have the time it will save you a few dollars to do it.

We have been using a dual-USB PCMCIA adapter, which I will include, and an external WIfi nic, which I will also include. It is loaded with Puppy Linux, small and fast and has lots of included apps. It has the MS Windows-2000 Professional tag on the bottom (I don't have 2000).

I am not sure what to ask so I will throw out a number -- and *encourage* price-corrections for current market value (up or down) as-is -- plus the actual cost to ship. I believe that the cd-carrier, hdd carrier/cable, extra RAM, pcmcia-usb adapter, pcmcia wifi nic, and AC PS are worth over $125. all by themselves. So let's say ... Asking $245.?

I need to get a small lightweight and modern Netbook for those occasions when hauling my much-loved CF-29 around is less-than-practical.

No comments ... am I way-high in price?

Do I need to make the repairs before anyone will buy the CF-28?

    R-Johnny-5 needs input!

If you have an iPhone (or smart phone in general with apps) and eBay selling app, you can see a bunch of closed auctions containing your items sold and for how much. From what I seen people are more willing to part out than sell a 100% no needs for upgrade laptop.

Yup. You can also go to the bay on your computer and select "completed listings" on the left side of the screen.

Or you could paint it blue, offer a BT GPS and ask $995 and make a killing!

I think I will fix the broken stuff and assign it to another task here.

BTW: Toughbook - You want me to drop those FDD's in the mail?
