4) $535 shipped to your door, check Ebay for prices, I see some but they have dents and marks and less ram, no DVD drive and less hard drive space. I replaced mine with a brand new RETAIL hard drive, not a crap OEM or refurb that the sellers on ebay give you. Also make note if theirs has a working touchscreen. Mine has never been apart.
5) money order/cash
6) I will ship UPS or Fed EX or anyway you like. North American sales only sorry.
7) Ebay buyer perfect feedback(14) name- trip_matt, AR15.com perfect seller and buyer.
The CF29 is in great condition and works perfect. I removed the original screen protector to find the screen to be perfect in every way without marks or scratches. The touchscreen works 100% and is so bright and clear it makes my X61 Lenovo look very dark. The only marks are under the carry handle where it was attached to a mount. A retouch with black will make it perfect. You can't see it when handle is closed. I'm a straight up person and if you want you can pm me for my phone number or email me with any questions. I'm not lazy and I will ship as soon as I get the money order.
1 year free of spysweeper antivirus and antispyware sorry but I bought a 3 license disk and you get one key but I need the disk for other installs.

Okay... What are you getting ready to buy?
-
I'm going for one of those fancy new toughbooks. I sold 2 rifles and with this I will have enough.
-
Which of the fancy new ones are you buying?
-
Price reduced to $535 -
no paypal?
-
I would do paypal but since everyone is so desperate(like on Ebay) and there are so many scammers I would pass on paypal. Plus paypal is anti gun and I support the right to own a weapon. Too many horror stories. Paypal is so bad if I sent you the laptop all you would have to say is I didn't get it and I would be out the money. They are only for the buyer.
Believe me folks I will not scam anyone. I will send you a copy of my drivers license and if I don't send you the laptop you can come pay me a visit. I will take a personal check. -
The whole thing is that you have to beware no matter where you buy now... But ESPECIALLY on Craigslist! There are so many scams there... Unless you can meet the seller in person... I would pass entirely! I would make sure I get his COMPLETE info on a bill of sale and then call 800-LAPTOP5 to see if the laptop is hot. If it is... Give them the info on the seller. It is your only recourse. There have been a few people here that have lost their laptop because it was stolen and they unknowingly bought it... But when they called for warranty repairs... They were pegged! Then lost the laptop AND the money!
Teo... I got pegged by Paypal for the same thing. I followed all the rules and shipped via USPS Priority Insured. They were supposed to ask for a signature. They apparently dumped the laptop in a hallway of a condo complex. (So the buyer said) Since there was no signature I could only prove that the laptop was dropped off... Not that SHE signed for it. Personally... I think she knew the postal employee so well a signature wasn't asked for. Paypal stopped a funds transfer to suck the payment out of my account. Money I was using TO PAY BILLS! I was livid. I threatened to close my account... But ebay owns all the ways to pay now. Anyway... I made a claim with the Post Office that was declined... I rebutted and told them about THEIR OWN rules and asked for my insurance money or a signature of the person who signed for it. They cut me a check. Paypal also kicked in a little since I am a high volume customer with them. I ended up okay but it was months of hassle I could have lived without!
Since we've already derailed this thread... I'll just add that ebay, paypal and all the other ways they take money are to start reporting to the IRS in 2010. Transactions totalling over $20k or 200 transactions will be reported to the IRS as income! I'm sure you have noticed they have done away with checks and money orders as you can't trace and track the funds!
Sorry coffey.... Back to selling you beautiful Toughbook! Someone really needs to step up and buy that one! -
A few buyers have contacted me and asked about selling without the DVD drive. I paid $134 for the Panasonic DVD drive and would sell it without it. If you have a CD/DVD drive for a CF-28 it will work in my CF-29.
-
Nice machine. Is it a Pentium M, or a Centrino? SD card reader? Thanks, Voytek.
-
I'll buy it, per our discussion.
-
So if you were to sell it without the drive what would the price be? PM if you dont want to say it. Thanks!
-
Sold pending funds

Many thanks to coffey7 for this fine machine.
Top condition, works perfectly, packed well, and shipped lightning fast.
Much faster that my CF-28 and lots of extra cool features like built-in wireless. Got a grin from ear to ear and a Toughbook buzz that make take days to wear off.
THANKS !! -
Glad you like it. I wish I could figure out how to give you rep points.

Uh oh... Springfield has the disease now!
You can always tell you know... As soon as you acquire two Toughbooks... That is when it starts! -
The one thing you have to be mindful of with PayPal is to NEVER link it to your primary business or personal checking account; ALWAYS link it to a dedicated account, and always transfer from that account in CASH. That way when PayPal tries to reverse a charge, all they get is a "funds not available", and the only thing they can do is freeze your PayPal account until EVERYTHING is settled in the dispute.
I've had a few such cases; and it IS interesting just how much more motivated they are to iron out the difficulties when the money has to come out of THEIR coffers; they are also NOT NEARLY SO INCLINED to just take the buyer's word for it for the same reason.
My major gripe with PayPal is the same gripe I have with eBay - since they monopolized the means of payment on eBay in 2003, between the two services they've TRIPLED the cost to sellers. Meanwhile, they've been DECREASING their protection from fraudulent buyers, and have all but eliminated due process/legal recourse against buyers who blackmail sellers for undeserved refunds/kickbacks with fraudulent feedback.
I WILL agree with you on one thing though Rick; the HASSLE is the issue. Every time I've had one of these disputes, PayPal has treated ME like I was the defrauder, not the "Nigerian prince wannabe" on the other end of the line - completely disregarding a DECADE of perfect transactions on my end.
It really is irritating to be made to defend myself by the guys at Square Trade; ESPECIALLY when I'M THE ONE PAYING for their services.
As for the "reporting to the IRS" thing... come on. You and I both know we've just been lucky it took them this long to close that little loophole; I've been reporting all my PayPal income ever since I went 1099.
