    Just realized that I had not checked my Toughbook E-mail sub-folder recently ...

    Wanted to thank folks for their recommendations. Turns out that I will be retrieving my CF-28 from the 14yr old as I found him a replacement laptop. Need to check it out and see what it may need, in addition to a battery, to make it suitable for mobile/portable deployment.

    Will get back to this soon as we are in the process of moving and I'd like that laptop to be available and reliable in the midst of the mayhem!

    For a new battery I think it is abit too expensive. Certainly there is an $89 seller out there somewhere.

    If you don't mind the "Used but could die tomorrow" category... Probably even cheaper!
