    Tittle says it:

I'm interested in getting my hands on the media pocket sled/caddy as well as the cdrom/sata hdd adapter for it.

(Of course fleabay is my fallback, but I always like to check here first)

    Thanks! ttys!

I have an original Panasonic media bay 2nd hdd setup. It's for an ide. I will consider selling it.
If you want the sata, you will need a cd rom caddy for the media bay and the optical drive sata adapter.
The 2nd hdd caddy and cdrom caddy are 2 different things.

I'm not trying to sound silly, or challenge you here:
Am I to assume that the OEM and aftermarket setups are different from each other?

I was looking at this one.

    Thoughts?

I have the setup for sale (original caddy + sata caddy inside)
I sold my CF 29 a while ago to a forum member, and found the caddy afterwarts in my archieves :wideeyed:
What would you spend on it? keep in mind that shipping from Belgium to you is about 20$
I will give you a sata drive for free whit it

The linked one is ide to ide. Do you want sata hdd to ide cd caddy or ide hdd to ide cd caddy?
The Panasonic cd drives are ide.
You need the Panasonic cd caddy also in order to use the aftermarket 2nd hard drive adapter.
I have the real deal. The Panasonic 2nd hard drive adapter. It is for an ide hard drive.
The Panasonic 2nd hard drive setup is a unit that accepts the hard drive only. It is completely different from the cd caddy.
It fits into the media bay.
I have an extra aftermarket sata hard drive adapter for the Panasonic ide cd caddy. I had it in my CF51.

    @interestingfellow....Shawn....denrosten.

I'm not purposely trying to tread on interestingfellow's toes here....it's HIS thread not mine.

I'm interested in both so I can use an existing Pata drive in one & Sata in the other. :p

Feel free to sent me a PM AFTER interestingfellow's had first bite of the apple.

No desperate rush....& I don't want my trunks pulled down either.

    Thanks.

    Ok,
I had started another thread in the general panny forum trying to figure this out, and was soo ingnorant, I didn't know the correct question to ask....The above info is what I was trying to figure out in that thread.

SO, I suppose I should say that I want to put a sata hdd in media bay of an cf29 MK1.
I am assuming Shawn's caddy with a sata/ide adapert is going to be the best way to go?

My OEM Panasonic 2nd hdd caddy may not have room for the sata hdd to ide hdd adapter. I will look. Nothing about this caddy has anything to do with a cd drive.
I do have the sata hdd to a Panasonic ide cd caddy adapter. I don't have the needed oem cd caddy.

When I get home, I will post some pics to make it easier to understand. The oem 2nd ide hdd caddy is a rare item that a lot people don't even know exists. That is part of the confusion. This caddy is designed for a hdd only.

I agree that the Panasonic ide 2nd hdd caddy is the best choice. Only limitation is size of ide or fitting the sata to ide adapter. Same adapter guys put in the main hard drive caddy.
