    CF-19 MK1 - Imgur

I've had this for a couple years now. Originally bought it used, although the owner had it for a few months before me. Biggest thing different about this one, is the touch screen is not there. In place of it, is a thick piece of glass. I decided to try and paint the silver part, and chipped the touchscreen when trying to remove it. The LCD was unaffected, and looks great through a clear piece of glass (compared to the dimmer view with the touchscreen.

    Now for the discrepancies:

The bios shows it's a CF-19CHGZXBM, and the sticker shows CF-19DHGZXBM. This is because the model was originally a federal model, without wireless. During my quest to get wifi working, some suggested changing the bios to make the computer "think" it was a wireless model. I ended up using the tape on the #2 pin method, and it works great (Intel 4965agn from a CF-74).

The screen, obviously. You can see some of the stick stuff i used for the screen (the stuff you peel off from a gift card, kinda slimy) in the lower left and upper right parts of the screen. You can probably use a razor and cut it away.

The button covers are off because this was never used in a rugged environment, so I never needed them. I babied it the whole time I had it. I still have the covers for all the ports.

The scratches that you see on the lid, are actually just the black paint chipping away. The actual chassis is in awesome condition.

Bios versions look off, because they are. I had a bad upgrade, and was forever stuck trying to get them to match, both downgrading for XP and upgrading for Vista/7. If you install Vista/7, you might have errors getting the "misc" driver working. I switched to Linux a while back, so I don't remember exactly.

Aside from all this, it works great. The battery holds a good charge still (don't have an exact time, never timed it). I will include the charger if you want it. The part that goes in the plug is a little sensitive. I think it's just beginning to wear out. I will also include a spare caddy w/ drive, for an additional price.

Finally, reason for selling: I've longed for a Latitude E6420, or at the very least, a 6410. Even a 6320 would be nice. I will either end up selling this, or, if someone has one of these Dells that I'm looking for, I will straight up trade.

Any additional questions, please let me know. So, what's it worth?

Well since no one else wants to break the bad news to you I will. My guess you will need at least $500.00+ if you are looking to get a E6420...yes ? A few months ago I bought my 19MK1 for $349.99 shipped and my MK2 for $429.99...fully loaded bluetooth, wireless and working touchscreen. With that said you will need a new touchscreen which will cost about $100-$125 to fix then you will need to do something with the lid because it does not look good at all. Now I know you feel its worth about $500 but if I was Mr. buyer looking at your 19 I would say it needs a lot of work which would cost a lot of bucks...new lid and touchscreen ($200.00) . If you had this on ebay I would not pay over $300.00 shipped for it...sorry. If you were buying a Dell E6420 and it needed all this work how much would you want to pay ??

I actually just won a 6420 for $415 today. I know this thing is worth far less than 500. I figured I would be able to at least fund some for the 6420.

So, would around $225-250, probably less, be good for something like this? I know it's not worth much, I just need to get my extras out of my closet.
