Not wanting to loose momentum in cleaning my warehouse, and hoping someone here can use these; and cause I dont want to go to Ebay again, the following have been moved from the sale thread to the free thread. :)

The first " I want it gets it" and as I clean the warehouse more, I'll add more.

You do however have to pay postage, the cheapest way you want.

    1. CF-47LYAGUEM, PIII 500, no HD, has a battery, No OS, Just the laptop

    2. Two parts cf-47 PIII units

    3. CF-29 MOTHERBOARDS 1.3 mounted in stripped case, just tested (I have two)

3.5 another cf-29 Motherboard in the case, but i removed the power button so cant turn it on to see what it is, opps.

3.6 THE BOTTOM COVERS TO THE CF-29 CASES, I HAVE FOUR OR FIVE

    4. Two cf-48 batteries, untested

    5. cf-28/29 floppy drives, I have seven of these

    6. The two cf-29 LCD bezel pieces painted TAN

    7. The two cf-28 LCD bezel pieces painted CAMO

    8. a CF-28 LCD CASE COMPLETE BUT WITHOUT THE LCD

    9. cf-28 FACTORY NETWORK AND MODEM CARDS, I have five or six sets of each

    10. ANY DOOR OR PORT COVER FOR THE CF-28, ASK AND IF I HAVE IT ITS YOURS..

    11. Two completely stripped CF-29 cases.

    12. The cases and boards from four different PDRC keyboards. If you want to build a heavy PDRC keyboard, you just need a standard keyboard and one of these parts sets. I took out the emmisive keyboards from these to use elsewere.

    13. An old but untorn rubber backlit CF-28/29 keyboard. Some keys are worn and I couldnt get the keyboard to stay lit up, but other than that it seamed to work. TAKEN
    14. Some CF-48 case covers, battery etc.

    15. A CF-48 LCD assembly, unk if it works.

    16. Several Yellow stained but otherwise working cf-28 keyboards.

    17. Some CF-47 & CF-48 keyboards

    THATS IT FOR TONIGHT, :)

    Sam

OH, and limit one item per day, so as to share the pain

    Hmm, I love this idea!

What would the shipping be to sweden for the CF-47?

Also, if you have CF-51 parts, for sale or for free. Count me in on those. I want to fix up my parts machine.

on the PDRC parts. I just need a KB to throw in there? Is it a usb connector? touchpad built in? pic?
I've never dealt with the PDRC's (or components) before...might be fun to screw around with one.

    shipping to Va Beach, Virginia?
    thanks!

They look like the ones pictured in the basement sale thread, and the white/grey keyboard one is an example of a keyboard switch. I took out a standard black one and put the white/grey one in. I dont think they have usb connectors, just the two standard keyboard style. Yes, touchpads are built into all of them.

Shipping is as you wish; I can try parcel post if no hurry, or I can put it in a medium flat rate box for $10.95.

    :) Sam

I have no more cf-51 parts, gave away the last three cf-51 machines a year ago, and I'm afraid shipping a full CF-47 laptop to sweeden would not be worth it, around $53.00 USD.

Did you sell the CF29 sleds? if you have any left, what kind are/were they? (I have a 29mk1)....

Why didn't you say you had the cf-29 top cover too? You know, "bezel", usually means just the lcd frame.

Also, if any 51 parts pop up. Gimme a shout. Although I think I mentioned that already in the other thread.

Rob has most in his stack, but I can probubly still find an optical door, used power port cover from another pile. And I saw your looking for a cf-28 hard drive cable? I have a few, but there not in the free pile, as theyre part of caddies that still have some market value.

If you want the cable, I'd sell it for $15., include the other two parts, and ship USPS small Flat box for another $5.00.

$43USD is the cost of shipping international via medium flat rate box. If you go by the sliding scale for parcel post, its even more.

Do you know a cheaper way to ship?

Im just going by the USPS international flat rate box prices, small $13+, medium $43+, Large $58+, the plus being change and added services like insurance.

Trust me, Im not making money on shipping, this is what they charge. Add to this having to stand in line for 20 or more minutes at the post office, as international shipping requires face to face transaction and customs forms filled out.

I dont know if Fedex or DHL would be cheaper, or if the lid and bezel would make it if sent in a large envelope as opposed to a medium box.

Mailing stuff within the US, I can us the Kiosks that are open 24/7 and no lines after midnight.

This is why most people don't ship overseas.

Sorry, but I have no control over this.

^ I know its not your fault, mate. It is what it is. You can't change that. But its still annoying. There are so many parts we Europeans cant buy because of the shipping. Either because of the price or because the seller refuses to ship overseas.

I spent a February in Latvia a few years ago -- bring extra long underwear. Daytime temps averaged -50F. Best hotel in Riga turned off its heat at night. People were great. They had just recently kicked out the Soviets and really knew and appreciated the value of freedom and its cost. Extremely well educated population, many of which spoke near perfect English, however if you need a translator, check out the Battle Creek area of Michigan; it has a large Latvian population that has retained its culture and language. Enjoy (and bring back the Mrs. some of their beautiful Amber jewelry)!

    Kardan,

Yeh I'm thinking it wont be Florida weather, actually needed the air conditioning today at the house, go figure. Will be in and around Riga, finalizing plans for more orphan hosting in the US this summer, so it should be fun.

As for the Amber, my wife has a ton of it, she (flight attendant)used to work the moscow route and bought it by the bag load, now cant get rid of it, or the painted jewelry boxs, or ....

Latvia is basically around the corner. I've been in there maybe five or six times.
And yes, its bloody cold over there. Like Kardan said, most speak pretty decent english. But if hist the fan, russian is basically a second language for them.

I have an old CF-47 that could use some love and fresh(er) parts, Mind telling me what shipping would be if I could possibly snag your full CF-47 off of you? I live in North West Arizona, USA.
Also it would be cool if you had any CF-18 parts just laying around. I just bought my first modern toughbook recently from ebay (Sold for parts but works, with just a broken screen) I would be grateful as I still need to purchase things like a new emissive keyboard, Battery, HDD with Caddy, and probably new seals for waterproofing. I have quite a small budget and the future of my fledgling computer tech business out here partly rides on this Toughbook's shoulders. :p

Welcome to the forum :D . Most of the stuff he had was parts that don't really sell...18 parts sell but if he did have any most of the forum regulars would of grabbed them months ago.

the parts you need if for a CF-18 are not cheap
emissive keyboard..$250.00+ IF you can find one
    Battery...$40.00+ (used)
    HDD with Caddy...$120.00-$150.00
    New screen...$125.00

My guess why the seller sold it was he knew what it was going to cost to fix. Not sure what you paid for it but you can find good used fully working 18's for $200.00...sometimes less (MK1)

If you need more info or help start a new thread and we will be happy to give you a hand

Sorry, been away from the web working in the lab for a few days finalizing for the next trip south.

The freebe thread was put to bed.

At the time, I was trying to get my warehouse cleaned and ready for a big pre-trip meeting, so all leftovers were dumped in the corner.

The CF-47 is gone, and as for cf-18 parts, not much in the bins now that isnt being used.

I rebuilt 15 of the cf-18 models, most of which were then pre-shipped down to the Dominican Republic for next weeks trip. I have some odd parts around, but still actively rebuilding those models.

Just got another shipment of donated toughbooks in, mostly 29s, a few 27s and a few 28s, but no 18s. Some will definately be parts units, as they are missing stuff or lcds bad. Sad but a few had emmisve keyboards, but were missing keys, and the rest were all backlit rubber ones.
